We are looking for a creative and exceptional candidate in the following disciplines. Excellent technical, oral & writing communications, computer and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to lead staff, coordinate and participate in the identification / solution of environmental issues involving air, land, water and storm water. Strong background in bridge, roads, and concrete - in addition to working with State, County and Municipal officials to discuss concerns and to provide resolutions of common environmental problems in those areas.

   

Available Positions and Opportunities
SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER (PE)
Reports to Executive Vice President
 
  Must have designed roads and highways that were approved by Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). Ability to direct and train junior engineers and CAD Technicians in project preparation and construction documentation. Ability to lead, keep track and maintain design schedule and budget. Experience in developing proposal and responding to RFP's, RFQ's various government forms (i.e. 254 and 330). Must know and able to teach Micro-station and GEOPAK.

It is desirable that the qualified candidate come equipped with site design experience for commercial and institutional facilities. The successful candidate must come prepared to take the responsibility of a Deputy Transportation Director within twelve (12) months of employment.

 
     
  EDUCATION
Minimum Qualification:
BSCE (MSCE Pref.), 10+ yrs. of related experience. Must be licensed to practice in the State of Missouri or are capable of receiving license within three (3) months of employment.
 
     
  EXPERIENCE
7 to 10 years of professional experience working within the consulting engineering and design industry.
 
SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (PE)
Reports to Executive Vice President
 
  The successful candidate must be licensed to practice in the State of Missouri and is capable of receiving license within three (3) months of employment to other states. Ability to design, direct and Q/C CADD Drawings for low rise commercial/institution buildings including the seismic requirements. Must also have experience in working with Architects to develop least costly framing from concept documents. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Micro-station is desirable for this position.  
     
  MINIMUM EDUCATION
BSCE (MSCE Pref.), 10+ yrs. of related experience.
 
     
  EXPERIENCE
7 to 10 years of solid professional experience working within the consulting engineering and design industry.
 
LEAD ESTIMATOR
Reports to Director of Operations
 
 

Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise company estimating program, providing technical and administrative direction to insure corporate objectives are met. Perform or supervise estimating of projects by the Design/Build group or for Project Managers.

Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc. Schedule estimating work and assemble, review, and coordinate submissions to Project Managers and for Design/Build projects. Review all final estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation. Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients. May be responsible for closing the "sale." Assist in the preparation of studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. Provide buyouts on all projects.

Prepare Collaboration Agreements with other firm offices when performing in-house estimating functions. Develop estimating standards to be used, followed, and implemented for conformity.

 
     
  EDUCATION
Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Advanced management or technical training preferred.
 
     
  EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of solid experience.
 
SENIOR CADD TECHNICIAN
 
  Responsibilities:
Works with Engineers, Project Managers and other personnel to define and implement CADD applications for different projects. Experience in AutoCAD, Micro-station hardware and current CADD techniques and standards is required for this position. Directs the development of new methods and routines of CADD to assure optimum utilization of all CADD Technicians and CADD equipment. Collects and evaluates statistical and technical information for use in the department; recommends state-of-the-art products in both hardware and software. Participates in the selection, training and development of new CADD personnel; ensures that the staff maintains current knowledge and training with regards to software (Establishes and maintains coordination between CADD Technicians, Engineers and Project Managers of any given discipline. Develops and maintains estimating guidelines for work assignments; assists with estimates for new projects. Responsible for the CADD department's quality control; troubleshoots non-routine problems. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
     
  MINIMUM EDUCATIION
Equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or computer science (commensurate training and experience can be substituted for degree).
 
     
  EXPERIENCE
Eight (8) or more years of progressive drafting and design experience, including at least three years of experience in supervising and/or organizing computer graphics operations
 
DESIGNER
 
  Responsibilities:
Performs non-routine and complex assignments, which include responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project with diverse designs. Engineer outlines objectives, requirements and design approaches. Ability to lead is required for this position.
 
     
  MINIMUM EDUCATION
AA Diploma from accredited technical school.
 
     
  EXPERIENCE
Experience and proficiency in detail design work and Microstation. 7-10 or more years of progressive drafting and design experience.
 
ELECTRICAL DESIGNER
 
  Responsibilities:
The Senior Electrical Designer is the lead designer for a project team representing the Electrical Discipline. Meet with the Electrical Project Engineer and the Project Team Leader to discuss electrical design scope, schedule, budget, phasing, site issues, and design review issues. Work with Project Team Leader and Electrical Project Engineer to prepare design budgets and schedules. Estimate discipline man-hours required to complete the design requirements of a project. Provide leadership and assign electrical design job functions to designated designers and supervise their efforts in completing the project on time and within budget. Implement electrical system types as selected by the Electrical Project Engineer and provide complete construction documents that match the client and project team's requirements. Review preliminary and final electrical design with other disciplines for function, clearances, coordination, and final design selection. Perform a final review of the electrical drawings.
 
     
  EDUCATION
BS preferred or two-year technical degree.
 
     
  EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 7-10 years of first-hand experience in the design of all phases of power distribution, standby generation, lighting and auxiliary systems (i.e. Nurse Call Systems, Data Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, etc.).
